Four English Schools to Tour Grenada

ST GEORGE’S, June 16, 2015 – The Dr. Challenor’s Grammar School, Bradford Grammar School, Merchant Taylor School and Sheffield University have once again selected Grenada as a destination for their Summer Cricket Tour in the Caribbean.

Seven (7) teams representing the four (4) English Schools will visit from June 22 to August 1 as part of this year’s tour.

Sheffield University will be the first to arrive on June 22 and the under 21 players will play six (6) matches with most of the senior clubs ahead of their departure on July 6.

Merchant Taylor School’s 37 member touring team are scheduled to arrive on July 9 and departs on July 16. They will play six (6) matches among selected Secondary Schools on the island at various venues.

Twenty eight (28) players (two (2) teams – Under 16 and Under 18) representing Bradford Grammar School will be on island from July 13 to July 15 to compete in two Twenty/20 matches at the National Stadium against Presentation Brothers College (PBC) and Grenada Boys Secondary School (GBSS) on July 14.

The final group will be from Dr. Challenor’s Grammar School and they will visit from July 18 to August 1. Two (2) teams representing Under 14 and Under 16 players will compete against local schools and clubs along with the National Under 15 team before their departure.
