ST GEORGE’S, June 16, 2015 – St. George and St. Patrick recorded victories as the GRENLEC/Grenada Cricket Association’s Women’s Premier League bowled off over the weekend.
In the first game, St. George defeated St. John by ten (10) wickets.
Batting first St. John posted 79 for 5 in 15 overs as Brandelee Williams top scored with 11 runs.
In reply St. George posted 80 without loss. Rachael Cyrus and Anisha Thomas were the top run getters with 41 and 20 not out respectively.
Meanwhile, in what was a high scoring encounter St. Patrick had a 63 run victory over St. Andrew. The ladies from “big parish” posted 202 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Mary Sylvester was the top scorer with 89 runs while Rackel Williams and Aria Fortune bagged two (2) wickets each.
St. Andrew could only muster 139 for 6 in their reply with Karina Punch top scoring on 40 not out. Shantan Charles’ three for 17 and Nicole McIntosh’ s two for 28 were pick of the bowlers.
