ST GEORGE’S, June 19, 2015 – Captain of Grenada’s Under 19 Cricket Team Ryan John is confident that his squad has what it takes to retain the Windward Islands Under 19 Cricket Championship when they play in this year’s tournament come June 25 to July 3 in Dominica.

Speaking to Spice Isle Sports Review on Friday John says based on the training sessions held by the team over the past month, the team looks ready and they will being going to play cricket and enjoy it at the same time.

Eight new faces will take the field for Grenada when the tournament bowls off compared to five returning players from last year’s victorious team but the captain says there is no added pressure. “The guys have been showing good skills, they look pretty ready for tournament.”

John hopes to be one of the most outstanding cricketer in the Windward Island and Regional tournaments so as to gain selection on the West Indies Under 19 Team as an all-rounder.

The team is being coached by Junior Murray with James Frank as the Manager.
