Three medals for Grenada at CAC Age Group Championships.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, July 20, 2015 – Team Grenada ended the 2015 CAC Age Group Championships in Trinidad with three medals (1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze).

The lone Gold medal was won by Jonair Thomas in the girls baseball throw with a distance of 54.80 meters. Thomas finished seventh overall in the Female Division with 3911 points in the 13-14 Heptathlon. The other female Alisha Charles finished 15th with a total of 3430 points.

Twenty eight athletes competed in this category with Julien Alfred of St. Lucia winning with 4466 points.

Meanwhile, Jammy Richardson won silver in the cricket ball throw with a distance of 72.85 meters and finished 19th overall in the Male 13-14 Heptathlon with 4277 points. His team mate Jared Sylvester won bronze in the 1200 meter run in a time of 3:37.72 secs and was 11th overall with 4575 points.

The Male 13-14 Heptathlon was won by Shacquille Lowe (Jamaica) with 4880 points. Twenty six athletes competed in this category.

Jamaica were the overall winners of the 2015 CAC Age Group Championships with host Trinidad & Tobago second and Barbados third.

The Team was accompanied by Denise Williams coach/manager and returns to Grenada on July 20.
