GCA happy with standards of Republic Bank/GCA Under 19 Cricket Tournament.

ST. GEORGE’S, April 9, 2016 – President of the Grenada Cricket Association Dwain Gill is delighted with the level of competition and standard throughout the recently concluded Republic Bank/GCA Under 19 Cricket Tournament.

The comments were made to Spice Isle Sports Review by Gill during a post-match interview at Progress Park on Friday.

“We are happy that the players gave the spectators something to shout about” says Gill. “The standard was good with the six teams involved and we saw the standard got better as the tournament progressed.”

The President believes that the young players in this tournament have proven themselves and can gain selection on various national teams.

 

 

Meanwhile Captain of victorious St. David Ryan John attributed his success in the local tournament to his participation in the ICC Under 19 Tournament.

John has was apart of the Champion West Indies Under 19 Team guided his team St. David to victory in the Republic Bank/GCA Under 19 Cricket Final on Friday.
