GFA Conference Football kicks off.

13418718_1088352534556998_4137159873564869033_nST. GEORGE’S, June 22, 2016 – A brace each from David Moses and Kasey Baptiste guided newcomers in the Grenada Football Association (GFA) St. David’s FC to a 5-nil thumping of Belle Vue Rangers in their first match of the GFA Eastern Conference.

David Moses opened the scoring in the 35′ of play and two minutes later Kasey Baptiste netted to send the hosts up 2-nil at the half.

Three minutes on resumption of the second half Moses netted to complete his brace.

Baptiste added his name to the score sheet once again in the 57′ to complete his brace.

The final goal for St. David’s FC in the 67′ when Keith Jacob netted home to end the game 5-nil.

Meanwhile in the Northern Conference, a lone goal from Devon Williams in the 27′ gave Sunsetters FC a 1-nil win over Eagle Super Strikers.

The GFA has changed the format of their leagues this season with the First and Second Divisions being turned in Conferences (Northen, Eastern, Central and Southern).

The winner of each conference will vie for the title of 2016 Conference Champions and seek promotion to the Premier League.

Northwestern (St.Patrick’s, St.Marks, St.John’s teams), Eastern ( St.Andrew’s and St.David’s teams), Central (St.George’s teams) and Southern (South St.George’s teams).
