HILLSBOROUGH, June 28, 2016 – Defending Champions of the Carriacou Premier League (CPL) Cricket Tournament Mt. Royal All-Stars were soundly beaten as the CPL bowled off on Sunday in Carriacou.
Batting first against Dover Titans, All-Stars could only muster 93 for 9 in 18 overs. Kenrick Julien top scored with 36 runs.
Pick of the bowlers were Ronal Allen 2 for 11 and Andy Brooks 2 for 18.
In reply Dover got to 95 not-out with Carlos Stafford and Kerwin Lendore on 64 and 24 not our respectively.
Meanwhile 2015 Big 4 Champions Brunswick United had a seven wicket victory over Ryhfle.
Ryhfle posted 132 for 9 with Wazim Coy 33 and Clinton Hamilton 25 as top scorers. Hardon Moses and Imran George backed two wickets each.
In reply Brunswick United got to 134 for 4. Alex Moses and Shonnel Browne top scored with 34 and 27 respectively.
In other games played on the weekend, Brunswick Rebels had a 23 run victory over L’Ésterre Cricket Club.
Scores in the match: Brunswick Rebels 167/2 in 12 overs – Mikel Joseph 76, Ken Quashie 43 not out. L’Esterre 124/4: Ricky Alexander 69, Al Jones 2-21.
Brunswick Rebels 224/7: Mikel Joseph 114, Ken Quashie 84, George Fleary 2-26, Clinton Hamilton 2-27.
Ryhfle 151 all out: Clinton Hamilton 61, Allen James 3-29
Brunswick Rebel won by 53 runs.
