ST. GEORGE’S, July 18, 2016 – Grenada’s Under 17 Men Football Team left the island on Monday en-route to St. Vincent & the Grenadines for the Group Stage of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under 17 World Cup Qualifiers.
Grenada has been drawn in Group Three alongside host St. Vincent & the Grenadines, St. Lucia and Bermuda.
The young Spice Boyz will play their first match against SVG on July 20 at 6:30 pm while the opening game of the group will see St. Lucia and Bermuda battle at 4:00 pm.
The twenty-man team is being coached by Jake Rennie.
Twenty four (24) nations are competing for seven (7) spots in the Caribbean Finals which is expected to be held in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Group winners along with the best runner-up will qualify from the group stage.
Five spots will be available for qualification into the CONCACAF Men’s Under 17 Championship following the CFU Finals.
