Shawn Clarke increased the advantage to two in the 49’of play when he netted and that’s how the score remained until the final whistle.

“I think that they worked very hard. They have been discipline by sticking to the game plan” says Head Coach Jake Rennie speaking to SISR after the victory.

“They knew the importance of winning the first game and they have done it.”

Rennie believes that there are areas which require work but he is satisfied with the overall performance.

“It had a few mistakes, but there is always room for improvement. I am really satisfied with their effort seeing the treatment we got before the game wasn’t as expected but can’t complain the guys did their best!”

Grenada will next play St. Lucia on Friday starting at 4:00 pm while SVG and Bermuda will do battle at 6:30 pm.

The Group winners along with the best runner-up will qualify from the group stage.
